I am Uchima; artist, painter, tattoo and graphic designer of Ryukyuan Japanese descent. I have a strong devotion for traditional Japanese art and mythology, especially Yokai and Japanese tattoo art such as Irezumi and horimono. I seek to learn and develop myself to become an artist specialising in this style, with all my humble respect for the art industry.

 

I also have experience in graphic design, having worked with businesses and companies in creating as well as re-designing their logos, designing their business cards and other artwork, of which you can find in my gallery. I am constantly expanding my knowledge on different techniques and knowledge in art.

 

For many years, I have worked with many traditional medias including watercolours, acrylics, Sumi-e, oil on canvas, gouache and illustration markers, also painting custom pieces and commissions for clients in a wide range of styles; skateboard artwork, digital & graphic design, fine art and tattoo design.
